Whether you’re purchasing your first ApartHotel Unit or adding to your investment portfolio, our Property Marketplace makes it easier, faster, and more convenient than ever. And remember, it’s fastest finger first!

Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started:

Step 1: Secure Your Apartment

  1. Head over to BlackBrick Umhlanga Purchase Page and log in. (If you haven’t created an account yet, you will need to register before you can view and secure any units)
  2. Browse through available ApartHotel Units, filtering based on your preferences—by number of bedrooms, apartment type, floor, price, and availability.
  3. On launch day, click the “Reserve” button to purchase your desired unit.
  4. Fill in the required details on the form and click “Continue.”
  5. Your reservation status will change to “Currently reserved.” You will have 10 minutes to secure your booking by paying the non-refundable reservation deposit. Check out our Terms and Conditions HERE for additional information.

Step 2: Pay Your Non-Refundable R20,000 Reservation Deposit

To finalize your reservation, choose one of our secure payment methods via iKhokha:
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Instant EFT
  • G Pay
Don’t worry, your security is our priority – You will be redirected to our secure iKhokha page where you will fill in your card details. This transaction will need to be approved with either a one-time pin (OTP) SMS or a prompt from your banking app to approve the payment, so make sure you have your phone with you when checking out. Once your deposit is successfully paid, your apartment is officially reserved, and you’re one step closer to owning your dream space!

Step 3: Finalize Your Purchase

  • Check your email for the Agreement of Sale (AOS), which will be sent to you once the deposit is confirmed.
  • Sign the agreement and return it to us.
  • If You’re Using Finance (Mortgage/Bond):
    • Get pre-qualified in less than 5-minutes with the ooba Bond Indicator – CLICK HERE – a 100% online, paperless, secure self-service tool that measures your credit score, income and expenditure to assess your home loan affordability as a bank would.
    • Apply for your mortgage with your preferred bank. They will need to give you an “in principle” approval within 30 days of signature of AOS.
  • If You’re Paying Cash or Using a Cash Guarantee:
    • Secure the balance of the purchase price. (Purchase price less R20,000)
    • You can either pay the amount directly to the seller’s conveyancers to hold in trust, or provide a cash guarantee from your bank.
    • This must be done within 7-days of the conveyancers’ written request.
